7 drop-in centres established throughout South Tyneside.

Launch of South Tyneside into Work Support Directory.
2000
Working in partnership with 42 organisations.
2001
New job search advice shop opens and 14 drop-in centres in operation.
TEN IS 10
10,000 clients supported 5,002 into employment & training.
2004
Launch of Compact for Race Equality in South Tyneside (CREST).
2006
25 full time staff employed.
2007
Founder Rev. Brian Hails resigns as Chair and Chris Clarke is appointed.
2008
TEN awarded National Careers Service contract.
2009
Approval of Big Lottery funding application for 3 years.
2011
TEN becomes an Official sub-contractor with Avanta.
2013
TEN relocates to Waverley Market Dock Business Centre.
2014
Training Division established and became an approved centre with Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.
2014
Awarded Big Lottery Talent Match, a 5 year programme for young adults aged 18-24 not in employment, education or training.
2015
BaseTEN is established through funding from Virgin Money Foundation.
2016
Awarded Local Sustainability Fund from Cabinet Office to work with two advisors to support the future development of TEN.
